flowers i made

October 3, 2017

One of my favorite parts of the weekend is working on fresh flowers in my home.  I am lucky to have a yard with plants to work with.  I usually either buy a few filler pieces at Trader Joe's or at the farmers market.  This week, I grabbed some white lisianthus from TJ's (not expensive!) and used greens from the yard to fill in the pieces.  I look for greens of different sizes, shapes, and texture.  I add rosemary for an herbal twist.  White and green is a classic look that works anywhere!

As you can see, I find places for flowers everywhere.  At the kitchen sink, next to the bed, on the entry table, in the bathroom, on the coffee table,......I love making several smaller arrangements and finding special spots for them.

This flower below is actually from my yard.  I recently added iceberg roses to some planters as they are supposedly easy to maintain.  I do not have a green thumb, so hopefully more of these to come!
