Here is a cheese plate I put together when some friends came over for wine in the afternoon. All from Trader Joe's! I call it a cheese plate, but it's probably really more of a snack plate. Components:
- sliced mango
- assorted crackers
- sliced watermelon
- 2 kinds of cheese
- crumbled toffee
- spiced pecans
- yogurt covered pretzels
I meant to also include olives but forgot....they would've been a nice addition. When making a cheese plate always include something sweet, a nut, and some sort of plant (fruit or veggie).
The beautiful tray is a gift from Aunt Pam, and the hedgehogs are from Anthropologie, but are sold out.
When concocting a cheese plate, it's nice to focus on different tastes: salty, sweet, crunchy, soft, tangy, etc. Also, think about how it looks visually. Incorporate different shapes, sizes, colors, and textures in your next cheese plate.
